Named after one of the founders of the Lithgow City Raceway, originally built by Lithgow Kart Club in 1963.
Clyde lived on site as the caretaker and was one of 2 remaining Lithgow Kart Club members when Combined Districts Kart Club was founded and began to run events at Lithgow in 1981.
On Clyde’s passing it was his wish that the venue would continue to run as a kart racing facility, a deal was struck with the remaining LKC member and CDKC became the new owners. The Clyde Marshall Memorial is the biggest event on our club’s calendar.
