Sunday January 25 Combined Districts Kart Club will our first event for the year.
This will be round 1 of the 2026 Club Championship and will feature the return of the 50 LAP CLASSIC.
The 50 LAP CLASSIC in January will be for Seniors, Juniors, Novice and Rookies will have their turn later in the year.
The event will feature class racing for all the ususal classes with Qualifying, 3 heats and a Final.
The 50 LAP CLASSIC will take place after the Finals and will be open to all Seniors that have entered class racing (separate entry required for this race, at the time of class entry). Karts in the 50 lapper must comply with Senior Performance, TAG Restricted or Tillotson specifications (you can race a different class for class racing). Tyres used must be the same tyres from heat racing. Each Class/weight division will be issued a handicap based on Lap Record times at Lithgow. This gives every entry the chance to be the 50 LAP Classic Champ, regardless of class or weight division.
The grid order and handicaps will be
- Senior Performance Light. + 5 seconds added
- TAG Restricted Light
- Senior Performance Heavy. 1 lap start + 12 seconds added
- TAG Restricted Heavy. 1 lap start
- Tillotson Light. 3 Laps start
- Tillotson Heavy. 3 Laps Start -20 Seconds deducted
These handicaps will be set up in the timing system. Speedhive will show the actual leader of the race (including the handicap). The Checker flag will be shown to the first kart to complete 50 Laps, the actual winner may be a different kart.
