The 2023 NSW State Championship will be held at Lithgow City Raceway from Friday September 29 to Sunday October 1st.

ENTRIES:
Entries Open: Monday 3rd July 2023 9.00am
Early Entries Close: Friday 15th September 11.59pm
Entries Close: Thursday 21st September 11.59pm
Pit spaces will be allocated to all entrants and will be 5m x 7m. There are a limited number of larger spaces and powered van sites available, these must be booked when you are completing your entry (look under “other products”. Any special requests (Teams, groups etc) should be notified before Friday September 15th, but the earlier we have the information and entries the better chance we will have to meet your needs.
The 3 classes with the largest entry number at Friday 15th September 11.59pm will be eligible to run in “over-subscribed format”. The remaining classes will be capped at 32 entries. If a class is dropped as a result if not reaching minimum entries, a 4th class may be run in “over-subscribed format”. Over-subscribed classes must reach a minimum of 38 entries to run oversubscribed, if this is not reached the last entries will be refunded and the class will revert to 32 entries.
A minimum of 8 entries must be received by entry close (Thursday 21st September) or that class will not run, and entries will be refunded.

FORMAT OF GROUP/CLASS/DIVISION RACING: Over Subscribed
Practice | There will be 5 x 8-minute practice sessions per class, correct transponder and race numbers must be fitted. Each practice session will have a driver list published, each driver may only go out in the sessions they are listed in. Each driver’s final eligible practice session will determine the upper and lower 50% and grid position for qualifying. | |

Groups | Post qualifying each class will be split in to 4 groups (A, B, C & D), 1st qualifier to group A, 2nd to group B etc. Each heat race will consist of 2 groups with grids determined from qualifying or points position within each group. All groups will race 3 heats. At the completion of heats, the top 32 points scorers will be gridded for the final. If any of the 32 qualifiers withdraw or fail to make the grid in the prescribed time, 33 and so on are eligible to take up the remaining spaces at the rear of grid (must be standing by in out-grid area, prior to close of grid, no announcement will be made) | |

- MEETING CONDITIONS
CONTROL FUEL:
Control Fuel will be used at this meeting. Fuel (Supreme 98) must be purchased from 7 Eleven Lithgow 1131 Great Western Highway South Bowenfells (next to McDonald’s). Control Fuel can be purchased from Thursday September 28th, 2023. Receipt to be produced if requested.
SEALS & TAGS:
Each engine must be sealed, and each chassis must be tagged, in accordance with the Technical Regulations T.7.1. Chassis tags must be fitted to the chassis inside the right stub axle mount (the tag and tail must not be cut). Engines must have drilled nuts as required for each specific engine/class (excess cable may be cut once engine is sealed)
Distribution will be advised in timetable.
TRANSPONDERS:
Compatible timing transponders must be fitted in accordance with the Technical Regulations T.3.14, for all Practice, Qualifying, Heats and Finals.
TYRES:
Tyre pooling will be used in all classes at this meeting for slick tyres.
Competitors are required to purchase their dry weather tyres from the “tyre pool” on Friday October 29. The tyre pool will be controlled by Maxxis Tyres distributor (St George Karts) and the meeting scrutineers.
Class collection times to be advised in event timetable. Wet scrutineer times will be advised (Competitors are to supply their own wet tyres)
In extraordinary circumstances as decided at the absolute discretion of the Chief Scrutineer a driver may be permitted to receive a second replacement tyre in accordance with Rule T.5.5.
NOSECONES:
Must use the CIK-FIA Drop Down homologated Nose Cone mounting kit, per Technical Regulations T.2.9. Karts must be presented to out grid with nose cone removed for inspection for all races.
CAMERAS:
A forward-facing camera is mandatory ON ALL KARTS and shall be operational for all racing, qualifying and practice. Stewards must be supplied video upon request from any competitor. Failure to provide video footage may result in a penalty. Cameras are to be fitted in accordance with Technical Regulations T.3.16. Additional cameras, including rear facing camera are optional and encouraged.
